We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Care Assistant in our care home for older people. The successful candidate will work closely with residents to support their wellbeing, dignity, and independence in a friendly and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with daily personal care tasks, including washing, dressing, and grooming.
Support mobility and help residents move safely around the home.
Help serving food, and assisting residents as required.
Monitor and record health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns to senior staff or medical professionals.
Encourage social interaction and participation in activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing.
Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for all residents.
Follow care plans and adhere to policies and procedures.
Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal choices at all times.
Essential Skills and Qualities
Patient, empathetic, and genuinely caring attitude.
Strong communication skills and ability to listen attentively.
Reliable, flexible, and able to work as part of a team.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally.
Experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
Working Hours and Benefits
This is a full-time position, typically requiring 40 hours per week, including shifts, weekends, and bank holidays as needed. Ongoing training, and opportunities for progression within the care sector.
